Rajasthan State Eligibility Test for Lectureship acronym as Rajasthan SET 2013 is conducted by Rajasthan Public Service Commission, Ajmer in the state of Rajasthan for determining the eligibility for Lecturer ship in various Universities, Colleges and Institutions of Higher education in Rajasthan State only.

However, those candidates, who have been awarded Ph.D. Degree in compliance of the “University Grants Commission (minimum standards and procedures for award of Ph.D. Degree), Regulation 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of Rajasthan SET for recruitment and appointment of Lecturers or equivalent position in Universities / Colleges / Institutions”.

Rajasthan SET Eligibility

Educational Qualification : The aspiring candidate must have Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from an institution recognized by U.G.C. with at least 55% (50% Candidates belonging Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Physically Handicapped (PH)/Visually Handicapped (VH) category) marks.

Candidates who have appeared OR are appearing at the qualifying Master’s Degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited OR candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this Test.

However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for award of Lectureship eligibility only after they have passed their Master’s Degree examination or equivalent with prescribed eligible % of marks

Important: Such candidates must complete their Master’s Degree examination within two years from the date of Rajasthan SET result with required percentage of marks, failing which they shall be treated as disqualified.

The Ph.D. Degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by 19th September 1991 (irrespective of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5 % in aggregate marks (i.e. from 55 to 50%) for appearing for Rajasthan SET. However Candidates shall appear to the Rajasthan SET in the subject of their post-graduation only.

Note: Candidates possessing post-graduate diploma/certificate course(s), should in their own interest, ascertain the equivalence of their course(s) with Master’s Degree of recognized Indian universities from Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi

Age limits: There is no upper age limit to apply for Rajasthan SET Lectureship.

Raj SET Exam Time Table:

• For Paper -I: 09:30 to 10:45 AM.
• For Paper -II: 11:00 to 12:15 PM.
• For Paper -III: 01:30 to 04:00 PM.
